Strength in Sacrifice

Scripture: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Scripture Teaching

Jesus defined love through sacrifice, not convenience. Leadership is measured by what we give up for others, not what we gain.

Reflection

At work, sacrifice may mean mentoring someone even when it slows you down. At home, it could mean laying aside your preferences to serve your spouse or kids.

Application

  • Give your time to someone who needs encouragement.
  • Lay down a personal comfort to invest in another.
  • Ask: What does love require of me here?

Prayer

Jesus, You gave everything for me. Show me how to lay down my life in love for those I lead. Amen.
